RACE FINISHES Riders will be scored in order of laps completed. It is not necessary to complete all laps in order to be scored. Youth ATV RACE POINTS are calculated as follows: 1st race points + 2nd Race points If overall points clash it will be taken from the highest point scorer of the Final race.
ORE Events Rules Effective as of 17.5.2011:MACHINES Competitors competing in ORE Events Championships and other ORE Events - Riders are permitted to use only One Machine and are not permitted to use any other machine other than the machine entered for the particular event of the day event. The Machine entered is subject to scrutineering rules. GENERAL: 1. Events may be conducted regardless of weather conditions. In the event of rain or other unfavourable conditions, it may be to alter the order of the event schedule, including but not limited to, adjusting the length of the race or delaying or stopping the program completely. Should a delay occur, every effort will be made to resume the schedule in a timely fashion if conditions significantly improve.
2. Solos must have their race number displayed. ATV machines must have a number plate with rider number mounted UPRIGHT on the rear grab bar. Numbers must be minimum 6”. Riders responsibility to keep number recognizable for lap scoring. .
3. All machines must have silencers. Machines may be tested by officials any time prior to, during or after the event.
4. Machine sound level cannot exceed 94dbs. No standard MX silencers. If any machine exceeds 94dbs you will not be allowed to ride, with no refund. Noise testing carried out before and during event.
5. All machines must have a working kill switch (bikes) or tether cord (ATV).
6. No horns, bells or other sound devices are permitted on machines.
REGISTRATION / SIGNING ON PROCEDURE: 1. Riders must register for the race before riding their machine anywhere, Full Protective clothing must be worn you may not exceed 1st gear idle when traveling to/from their pit area, and must always wear a helmet.
2. You must obtain your transponder prior to competing or participating at signing or / registration. You must read and follow transponder instructions very carefully. Failure to do so will result in Laps not being recorded! You must put one on your back and one on you front/chest.
3. You are responsible for your safety equipment and machine eligibility are your sole responsibility.
START PROCEDURE: 1. Riders shall line up on their assigned starting row on a first come basis when directed by the race official. 2. Start Youth Quads Groups 1/50cc and Groups 2 up to 125cc will start with engines running. At the drop of a flag or green GO signal. 3. Riders starting their machines prior to the green GO signal, or taking off with the wrong row will be penalized. 4. Riders missing the start of their class must enter the racecourse at the starting line.
THE COURSE: 1. An ORE Events course:- Consist of various types of terrain cross country in nature may include trails, hills, motocross tracks ,or any type of terrain which can be negotiated by a motorcycle or ATV. 2. Course inspection will be a visual inspection of the course to satisfy themselves with all aspects of safety before you ride. You can visually inspect the course from 7am on the saturday of the event. Youth Quads - Groups 1/50cc and Group 2/up to 125cc will ride a complete lap of circuit behind an official. 3. Marking, cutting, tampering with or otherwise changing the course in any manner is strictly prohibited. Course modifications may only be made by an official. 4. No one, except officials and riders officially entered, may ride on the race course at any time during the event.
FLAG SIGNALS YELLOW:Danger take care. Ride with caution. No overtaking. RED::All riders must stop. Riders must not pass any red flag unless authorised or directed to do so an then proceed at a slow pace. BLACK with your rider machine/entry number clearly shown on a board = That you the rider should to stop racing immediately and leave the track.
ON TRACK REGULATIONS: 1. Riders must remain on the marked course. Where two arrows mark a gate riders must pass through riders must stay within the confines of the marked course being marked with Tape, orange arrows, signs, stakes, hay bales, barrels, motocross track, grass track, etc Course cutters will be excluded. 2. Riders encountering a traffic jam or bottleneck: must wait till the section is clear unless they can pass without going outside the orange arrows you must not cross/break any taped or roped sections. If the original marking devices are knocked down, the rider must stay on the original marked course. A "bottleneck" is a section of the track that becomes impassable for any reason, with the exception of check points. 3. Riders may not cut to the inside of a corner marked with post/s and arrows .Riders course cutting will be given a time penalty or disqualified.
4. If a rider leaves the course for any reason he must re-enter where he left. 5. With the exception of fuelling, riders may make repairs and otherwise receive mechanical assistance anywhere along the course from an ORE official. All such repairs and assistance must be made without causing interference with other riders and in a suitable area off the racetrack. 6. Riders must fuel in their designated Pit area. In the event a rider runs completely out of fuel, machine must be returned to Pits before re-fuelling. Machine must be switched off for re-fuelling at all times. If a rider has to return to Pits without completing the correct lap the following lap will be deducted (dependant on position of lap scoring). 7. Riders may not carry gasoline anywhere except inside the machine's fuel tank. 8. Radios are permitted between pit crew members, but not with or between riders or helpers. 9. Reckless riding. No rider may ride in such a manner as to endanger life or limb of other riders, officials or the public. Riders will be penalized for the reckless operation of their machine, including but not limited to the deliberate ramming, blocking or intentional contact with another rider, or for running into an official. 10. Team Tactics are prohibited, and include but are not limited to: blocking, allowing another rider to pass in order to affect the outcome of the race, or exchanging machines ON CIRCUIT in order for another rider to continue the race OR GAIN ADVANTAGE. Riders involved will be penalized. 11. Unsportsmanlike Conduct. Persons whose appearance, conduct, associations or affiliations, on or off the track, deemed not conducive to the best interest of this sport or who exhibit conduct which is inappropriate, offensive, abrasive or in bad taste, may be excluded or suspended from ORE at the discretion of the organizer. Participants engaged in any event, public appearance, media activity or any other situation relating to their participation in the series must refrain from intentional physical contact with any participant, inappropriate or profane language, fraud, and unsportsmanlike behaviour. At the sole discretion of ORE, participants who exhibit behaviour deemed inappropriate or unsportsmanlike, prejudicial or detrimental to the best interests of the sport, or detract from the enjoyment, appreciation or interests of the fans, sponsors or other supporters of the sport, may be penalized by monetary fine, docking of championship points, or both. Such penalties are not subject to protest or appeal.
TAPED-AREAS Blue and White – strictly walking pace (1st Gear). Riders ‘speeding in Taped Area will be given ‘Time Delay or Disqualified’.
MECHANICS AND PIT AREA 1. Riders are responsible for the actions of their entire pit crew. 2. Alcohol is prohibited in the pits during racing. 3. Pets are prohibited in the pits. Unleashed pets are prohibited in the parking area. 4. Children under 16 are prohibited in the pits. 5. Smoking is prohibited in the pits.
SCORING: 1. Transponder (DAG Systems) scoring is the official scoring procedure for ORE. If your Race Number is displayed at Lap Score area you must stop there. 2. Lap scoring "No Passing"-zones Lap scoring Blue and White taped area. Marked with blue & white tape. In addition, lap scoring will be marked with Blue tape. 3. Riders may not be serviced or pitted in the area between Lap scoring Blue & white taped area. Riders must complete 1 Lap to Score Points. Riders will be scored in order of Laps completed. It is not necessary to complete total duration to score points. 4. TRANSPONDERS MUST BE RETURNED AT THE END OF EACH EVENT (DAT ENTRIES) & AT THE END THE SEASON BY ORE CLUB MEMBERS. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN A FINE OF £15.00
RACE FINISHES: 1. The Race will be finished with chequered flag at lap scoring and then riders diverted from the course. 2. The results are worked out by the amount of laps completed the time finished and your class entered. 3. Riders must complete at least one lap to score points. You do not need to complete total race duration to obtain a race finish.
PENALTIES Will be assessed at the discretion of the official based on the severity of the offense, and may include one or more of the following: position(s), lap(s), time adjustment, disqualification, suspension, loss of championship points, loss of prize money, fine, disqualification.
PIT AREA Is a signed roped area for re-fuelling and machine maintenance. Strictly no under 16’s & strictly no smoking. Machines walking pace/1st Gear. Riders speeding in Pits will be given Time penalty or Disqualified.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1. It is accepted by you that you knowingly intend to participate in a challenging and risky activity using mechanically propelled vehicles, recognised as such under the Road Traffic Act (Off Road) Regulations 1991. You accept that dangerous conditions plus dangerous, careless and inconsiderate driving plus high speeds plus the use of specially constructed vehicles may significantly increase the risk of being Killed, Permanently disabled or seriously injured. 2. You acknowledge that participation in events run by O.R.E Events entails known and unanticipated risks that could result in physical or emotional injury, paralysis, death or damage to you, to your property or to third parties. It is understood that such risks simply cannot be eliminated without jeopardizing the essential qualities of the events run by O.R.E Events. 3. You must satisfy yourself of the preparation and condition of the course and accept that the margins for safety, barriers and braking areas are adequate and suitable for your degree or skill of competence and type of vehicle. You accept the responsibility of monitoring all conditions that may materially change the aforementioned and participate of your own free will and are free to withdraw from the event at any time. You agree to have visually inspected any course which you practice or you test or you compete or you participate on and satisfy yourself with all aspects of safety before you ride. 4. You accept that participation in O.R.E Events activities or events is purely voluntary and you agree to participate in spite of the risks. 5. You certify that you have adequate insurance to cover injury or damage caused or suffered whilst participating, or agree to bare the costs of such injury or damage. 6. You confirm ‘That you have no known medical condition (including sight impairment) that will substantially affect your ability to control or direct the mechanically propelled vehicle with which you intend to participate’. 7. You confirm that ‘Should you be aware of any medical condition including prescribed medication which may affect your ability to control or direct the mechanically propelled vehicle, you will present yourself to the Chief medical Officer at the event and also make the Event organiser known of your condition, prior to signing on or participating in any event this includes you practicing or you testing or you competing in anything run by O.R.E Events. All persons must comply with ALL rules below and any additional rules that are imposed by O R E EVENTS LTD management.
Parking area: 1. Pets on lead 2. Campfires not allowed. 3. If BBQ’s are used in vehicle park area, ensure that they are extinguished. 4. All liter / rubbish to be taken home by competitors / entrants. You must wear all safety wear including Helmet. You must have your kill switch lanyard connected. You must be in 1st gear and the engine idling / walking pace. No pillion passengers to be carried at any time. All spectators must remain in the roped-off spectator area. When O R E EVENTS LTD management displays the red flag all riders must stop immediately. All riders must wear standard motocross safety wear. O R E EVENTS LTD management reserves the right to refuse entry to the track.
INTRODUCTION Off Road Experience Limited (referred to as O.R.E Events. Hereinafter) rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to establish minimum acceptable requirements and to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events. Effective February 15th, 2010 These rules and regulations will govern all O.R.E Events. All O.R.E Events members willingly participating in these events are deemed to have complied with these rules and /or regulations. No express or implied warranty of safety shall result from publication of, or compliance with these rules and/or regulation. These rules and/or regulations are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to participants, spectators, or any person or persons. They are intended as guide for the conduct of the sport only. GENERAL RULES 1: Off road racing is a hazardous sport, and with participation being voluntary, no entrant, pit crew member or vehicle sponsor shall have any claim for damages, expenses, lawsuits or otherwise against promoter, track operator, O.R.E Events., its officers, agents or directors arising from damage to any vehicle, personal injury or death, monetary loss of any kind whatsoever. Entrants, pit crew members or vehicle sponsors who voluntarily participate in any racing activities conduct under these rules, waive any claim they may have against promoter, track operator, O.R.E Events its officers, agents or directors. 2: The race official shall have the authority to penalize, disqualify and/or suspend any entrant or crew member for the violation of these rules including special rulings. 3: O.R.E Events may issue special rulings to account for conditions presented by the location of the race, the condition of the course or any other circumstance. 4: Supplementary regulations may be issued for each event as necessary to amend, suspend or modify existing rules and regulations. 5: O.R.E Events assumes no responsibility whatsoever for delays, postponements and/or cancellations of all or part of an event because of inclement weather, unsafe course conditions and/or any other reason. 6: No rider is permitted to carry gasoline except for within the machine's fuel tank. 7: Safety equipment and machine eligibility are the sole responsibility of the rider. 8: ATV riders must be 6 yrs old or older as of the event they are entered in. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LICENCE Entrants must have ACU, AMCA, ALRC, BSAMA, NORA, MSA, YSMA, NASA, SACU or IOPD Paid Licence. ENTRANTS 1: Any entrant who fails to fully fill out and sign required entry forms and releases shall be disqualified and shall forfeit any points and contingencies won in that particular event. Entry forms and releases must be signed in person in front of O.R.E Events entry personnel. Identification may be required. 2: No entrant may enter racing areas until they have signed entry forms. No person shall sign the release or forms for anyone other than himself or herself. Proper identification may be required (i.e., picture ID). 3: The entry applications of persons under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the Guardian form. 4: Any entrant who competes on a vehicle that he/she is not registered to ride or permits such action, shall forfeit any and all prizes and points won in that particular event. Such action may result in vehicle disqualification.
EVENT COURSE 1: A marked course is that official route designated by and marked with official O.R.E Events markings. All vehicles must follow this route during the event. No vehicle may deviate from the marked course at any time. Passing is only permitted where there is no vegetation on the side of the course. Short coursing is not permitted and will result in disqualification. short coursing is defined as any deviation from the marked course resulting in either a time or position advantage. O.R.E Events is not responsible for markings that are damaged or removed. All vehicles must proceed only in the correct direction of the course route or trail. Riding backwards on the race course at any time is prohibited and will result in disqualification. 2: Course may include trails, footpaths, roads, hills, motor cross tracks, or any type of terrain which can be negotiated by a bike or ATV. The course will be open to inspection on Saturday at 7:00 am. Participants are permitted to walk or bicycle the course only. If a rider leaves the course for any reason he/she must re-enter the course where he/she left. Riders must remain on the marked course. Any time double arrows are posted on both sides of the trail, riders must stay between the arrows. Markers may also include any device placed along the trail to help guide riders, including: ribbons, signs, stakes, hay bales, etc... If the original marking devices are knocked down, the rider must stay on the original marked course. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PROTESTS All complaints must be written and sent to an official – not on event day. The decision of the official will be final. : -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RULE INFRACTIONS / PENALTIES / DISQUALIFICATION 1. Race vehicle travelling on the racecourse in the reverse direction of the race, at any time: Disqualification. 2. Abusive conduct toward a race official: Disqualification. 3. Course Cutting: Disqualification. 4. Passing in the lap scoring at speed: Time penalty or Disqualification. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RIDERS 1: Only entrants that are listed on official O.R.E Events entry form may ride the vehicle for which they are registered. No entrant may ride any vehicle for which they are not registered. 2: O.R.E Events reserves the right to change race vehicle numbers and/or background colours. 3: The rider must sign all entry forms in person during the registration period to be eligible for points during the event. Identification may be required. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PITS / PARKING AREA ABSOLUTELY NO PIT RIDING ~~KIDS & ADULTS!! You may ride your bike to and from the track at first gear IDLE ONLY for your race ONLY and must wear a helmet at all times. Riders must register for the race before riding their machine anywhere. Strictly no riding at any time in pits or on Track. ANYONE FOUND PLAY RIDING IN THE PITS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED WHITHOUT A REFUND. NO EXCEPTIONS. 1: At all times the rider assumes responsibility for the actions of their pit crew members, support crews, and all others associated with their organization. All pitting must be done in the designated pit area. No vehicle shall be towed, pushed, pulled or transported by a non-race entered vehicle on the official course while an event is still in progress. Another race entered vehicle or an official ORS vehicle may push, pull or tow the race-entered vehicle up to the nearest pit. No other person or persons will be permitted to assist in pushing, pulling or towing the vehicle. ORE officials may assist the vehicle occupants if it is deemed necessary for the protection of the entrants. 2: All young children under 16 and pets must be kept out of the pit area. Pets must be kept on a leash. Campfires are not be permitted.. 3: All entrants are responsible for cleaning the pit areas they use during the event. 4: Any pit crew members disregarding these rules will subject their rider to disqualification. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TECHNICAL INSPECTION 1: IT IS THE ENTRANT(S) RIDER(S) OWNER(S) AND SPONSOR(S) FULL RESONSIBILITY TO MEET ALL O.R.E Events RULES AND REGULATIONS. 2: Entrants must make all reasonable effort to arrive to scrutineering a minimum of 15 minutes prior to start of race. 3: O.R.E Events reserves the right to subject any vehicle to a technical inspection at the direction of the technical inspector. In the event of a mechanical inspection, the rider will be responsible for removing or repairing the requested items to be inspected as directed. Failure to comply will result in disqualification of entrant and vehicle, and may result in suspension from future O.R.E Events.. 4. An official will carry out a casual inspection of the blatently obvious & the general condition of machines. The condition & suitability of the machine for the style of the event & the general condition of the machine is entirely the responsibility of the rider.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- COMPETITION The regulations herein apply to all classes unless otherwise noted in supplementary or specific class regulations. Modifications or optional equipment is not permitted unless the class requirements or safety regulations specifically state that it will be permitted. O.R.E Events intent when prescribing specifications for safety equipment for vehicles that will compete under O.R.E Events rules is to provide reasonable protection to all entrants, pit crews, officials and spectators. O.R.E Events encourages all entrants to give full attention to safety requirements. Entrants must wear approved helmet, protective clothing, eye protection and safety equipment when operating a vehicle on the race course at any time. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SAFETY EQUIPMENT RECOMMMENDED 1: Helmets - Helmets must be of the type approved by the with an (ACU Gold Stamp) sticker attached. Straps must have D - ring fasteners only. No snaps or Velcro will be permitted. The interior and exterior areas of the helmet must be free of defects (i.e., the padding must be in good condition and the exterior of the helmet must not be damaged.) O.R.E Events strongly recommends that entrants use helmets specifically designed for racing. 2: Protective Clothing - Protective clothing accessories are required to include but not limited to gloves, race pants, race jersey, boots. 3: Eye protection - Shatter resistant eye protection is required for all motorcycle/quad entrants competing in a O.R.E Events event.
4: Emergency Kill Switch - All ATV's must have a tether cord kill switch which kills the engine when disconected. Nerf bars or floor boards are required on all entrant vehicles. 5. Motorcycles must be fitted with a stop switch on the handlebars which kills the engine when pressed / pushed. 6. All machines must have a throttle that returns to the ‘closed’ position when released. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DISQUALIFICATION 1: Drinking intoxicating beverages in designated pits, on the race course or in the surrounding areas by any person is strictly forbidden. The use of narcotics, (amphetamines or any other stimulants, barbiturates or other depressants) is forbidden. Any entrant or crew member in an event that shows evidence, whatsoever, of being under the influence of any of aforementioned shall be subject to suspensions from all future O.R.E Events sponsored events. Violator must leave the premises immediately at the direction of the race official. 2: Any entrant who makes false statement on a contingency or entry form shall be disqualified and shall forfeit all points and all prizes won in the race. Entrant may also be suspended from future events for a period of one year. 3: Any entry application containing a falsified signature will cause entrant to be disqualified and shall forfeit all prizes, and points won in that event. Entrant may also be suspended from future events for a period of one year. 4: Any entrant disqualified from any event for a reason whatsoever forfeits any and all rights to prizes and points. Entrant will not be entitled to a refund. 5. Any entrant, respective pit crews or support crews seen or reported travelling on the course in other that race-registered vehicles participating in the event before the end of the official race time limit may subject entrant to penalties of disqualification and/or suspension. 6: Any race entrant or their support personnel who subject any O.R.E Events official, other race entrants or their support personnel to verbal threats and/or physical abuse will be brought before the director. The official will make the decision of disqualification and/or suspension of the rider and the offending support personnel for said offenses. Acts of physical abuse may be reported to the proper authorities and may lead to legal action. 7: Deliberate vehicle contact shall be reason for penalty, disqualification and/or suspension at the direction of the director. 8:Riding on a circuit / land before or after an event will result in suspension from future events..

In the event of a tie for the championship,the winner will be determined based on the number of event wins in the championship. |
